There is something about walking through the gates of Salty Lodge.  For a little while, you can leave the pressure of the world behind.  The noise.  The rushing.  The expectations.

The constant feeling that you should be somewhere, doing something, or getting something done.​​​

There is no timetable here.  No schedule you have to follow.  No list of activities you need to complete.  No expectation that you need to go somewhere every day to make the most of your stay.  You can have a conversation, sit around the table and connect with others.  Or you can find a quiet corner and be completely left alone.  You can join in.  Or you can have your own space.  You can talk.  Or you can sit in silence.  There is room for both.

Salty Lodge has been created from our faith.

​

God is at the centre of what we are building here, and our hope is that this will be a place where God's people can step away from the noise of life and make space for Him.

• A place to listen.

• A place to reflect.

• A place to reconnect with what matters eternally.​

There will be opportunities for fellowship, Bible studies, shared meals, prayer and conversation — but there is never pressure to participate in everything.

​Come as you are​

You don't have to be a Christian to come to Salty Lodge.

​

If you believe, you are welcome.  If you are searching, you are welcome.  If faith is new to you, you are welcome.

And if you simply need somewhere peaceful to rest, you are welcome too.

Our faith is part of who we are, and God will always be at the heart of Salty Lodge. But our hospitality is not conditional on what you believe.

​

You can come through the gates, put down the weight you have been carrying, and simply rest.

Perhaps you will join a conversation.  Perhaps you will sit quietly with a cup of coffee.  Perhaps you will walk to the lagoon.

Perhaps you will read, sleep, pray, laugh, cry, think, talk — or do absolutely nothing at all.  There is no pressure to make your time here into something.

Just space to breathe.

Space to connect.

Space to be still.

Space to rest.

And perhaps, in the stillness, you may discover that what you really needed was not another thing to do — but time to stop, listen and remember what truly matters.
